Poor Monsoon, No fertilizer

This is the proper time of farmers for the plantation of paddy. Government has declared paddy day to Asar 15(June 29). As the declaration Friday paddy day (Dhan divas) is celebrated on the most part of the country including Kathmandu, Pokhara and other main paddy production area. Top political leader, bureaucrats also took participation on ropai (paddy plantation) ceremony. But the monsoon is showing pessimist gesture. Till now monsoon has not covered actively throughout the country. Only in the some part of the country has been heavy rain, most of the paddy cultivating land is still dry. Farmers are looking towards the sky and waiting for the rain. Because most of the paddy cultivation land is depends upon monsoon rain. There is poor irrigation facility over the country. On the other hand the farmer has been used to apply chemical fertilizer more than necessary quantity, which is not produced within the country.  The chemical fertilizer should import from the neighbouring or third country. Government has established an independent organization as agricultural inputs corporation. Inefficiency of the organization and the more interference of government, agriculture input corporation could not import necessary volume of chemical fertilizer on time. It is due to the effect of global warming and climate that is poor rain in the season.
